The Wind E. blowing very fresh, dry Sun shiny and scorching all Day: the wind was much allayed in the night and brought down hoar frost.

24th.  The Wind N. E. blowing fresh, sun shiny, dry & scorching but not altogether so much as yesterday; & made some little rain in the Evening.
25th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh, and generally Sun shiny, but cloudy & overcast in the Evening & made some little rain in the night.
26th.  The Wind N. E. blowing fresh & scorching & for the most part cloudy & dark; pd. 2s. for Leghorn & London Letters from, & about my unhappy Daughter's incessant praying for relief when it is I am afraid out of my power to give it.
27th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate; cloudy & dark weather for the most part but dry all day. To Day I first hear Saw the Swallow this year·
28th.  The Wind  N. E. blowing fresh, Sun shiny & scorching all this day and very dry: Pd. Rhŷs Bentir 3s. for Butcher's meat·
29th.  The Wind N. N. E. blowing moderate, cloudy. & dark all the mornig and till 4 in the Evening when the Sun shined fair the rest of the day. My people all this week were plowing for, & Sowing of Barley : To Day I first heard the Cuccow this year.
30th.  The Wind N. N. E. blowing moderate & not cold, but generally dark and cloudy this day: The Curate Priest preached on Acts. chap· 24th. verse i6th.
May ist.  The Wind N. E. and for the most part cloudy & dark, but not cold, a very great hoar frost fell this night·
2d.  The Wind N. & very moderate, Sun Shîny, fair & serene all this day. but a hoar frost this morning also.
3d.  The Wind N. blowing moderate, Sun shiny,fair & clear all this day and very dry.
4th.  The Wind E. blowing very fresh dry and scorching insomuch as the ground, both corn & grass looks very poor hitherto.
5th.  The Wind E. blowing very fresh cold & scorching , cloudy & dark all this day: Paid Marged 6s. of her winter's wages to Sion Bor[thwr sw] 8s. of his wages. made some little rain in the night which was a great refreshment to the corn & grass.
