August 6th.  The Wind S. & by E. blowing pretty fresh, some— little rain in the morning, but drying well all the day besides, & some sun shine, but sultry all the day .
7th.  The Wind S. blowing very fresh, generally cloudy, yet hot & sultry and dry almost all this day.
8th.  The Wind S. & by E. blowing moderate, some sun shine, but for the most part cloudy & made 2 or 3 small showers, but soon over, and dryed well afterwards: To Day and yesterday I carry in my upland hay which I have finished to day: pd. 5d. for postage of Letters
9th.  The Wind S. calm & for the most part cloudy with some little rain but nothing to hurt the harvesting hay. 
i0th.  The Wind S. & by E. calm & generally cloudy with some little— rain this day also ·
iith.  The Wind W. blowing very moderate & bordering on a calm, was generally sun shiny clear & sultry this day & altogether dry: Paid Rhŷs Bentir for Butcher's meat bought this day Senight and to day 8s. 6d.
i2th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate all the morning & a perfect calm in the Evening, cloudy & dark weather all day with some little rain about Noon but over in half a minute ·
i3th.  The Wind S. very calm, Sun shiny hot & sultry all day; The Curate – preached on James Chap: 4th. verse 8th. gave at a Burying is. [1/- sw] betwixt the Priest & clerk.
i4th.  The Wind S. blowing pretty fresh, cloudy and overcast, but dry till noon, but from that time till night it rained a mizling rain altogether
i5th.  The Wind W. & by N. calm & cloudy till i0 in the morning, and all the day afterwards was sun shiny, fair, hot & Sultry .
i6th.  The Wind N· W. calm, Sun shiny, hot & sultry & dry all this day.
i7th.  The Wind S. blowing high & generally cloudy & dark, dry all the morning, but all the Evenîng it rained, & generally very hard.
i8th  ❍ 12 [this is written vertically in the margin below 'i8th' sw]   The Wind W. in the morning, blowing moderately, & generally Sun shiny & fair, came to S. in the Evening , & rained a small shower which was soon over: To Day I begun to reap: Pd. Rhys Bentir 3s.6d. for a Side of Mutton.
i9th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, & generally cloudy, The Evening proved very dirty it raining very often from 2 in the Evening till night .
