December 28th. The Wind S. W. blowing fresh, yet not cold, I take some hicra Piera [white cinnamon sw] to day, as I did – last Sunday. to carry off the remainder of the Mor – –bifick [morbific = causing disease; pathogenic sw] matter, I thank God I find my self now very well recovered & very hearty . |

30th. 9❍ [this is written in the margin below '30th.' sw] The Wind W. and blowing moderate & not cold, and continued so all day, my people are these days fencing about the grounds and repairing old rotten hedges. |
