January 5th. The Wind S. S. W. high & stormy & raining long before day & untill 11 in the forenoon; The Even[ing sw] dry, but cloudy , dark & stormy .
6th.  The Wind S. W. blowing fresh, sun shiny & clear till 4 in ye Evening when it grew dark & cloudy & blew a great storm all night. I entertained some neighbours here to day , with whom I sat up till 1 in the morning .
7th.  The Wind S. W. blowing high, it is very wet to day, haveing rained very hard this morning, the Evening dry.
8th.  The Wind W. Sun shiny & fair, but very wet, haveing rained very hard about 3 in the morning;
9th.  The Wind variable, but chiefly att E. & S.E. a very calm,Sun -shiny and warm day; about 4 in the Evening it grew dark & cloudy & made some rain about 8. The Priest preached on Mat. Chap 16th. vers. 6th.
10th  The Wind S.W. dark, cloudy, cold & raw weather all day, yet made no rain .
11th.  The Wind W. & by N. cold & raw, but very calm all day, & made no rain.
12th.  The Wind E. very calm, sun shiny & fair all day, with some hoar frost this morning; A very full- market of Corn at LLanerchmedd, & the price much the Same as before the Holy days; Butcher's meat very scarce, & what there was of it, at an excessive rate, 
13th. The Wind E. & by N. very calm, & sunshiny, and a great hoar frost & some frost this morning, but all was thawed before night.
