January i6th.  The Wind W. blowing fresh & very cold with some Sun shine and dry all this day: I staid to day at LLysdulas to rest me .
i7th.   ii ❍  [this is written vertically in the margin below 'i7th.' sw]   The Wind W. & by S. blowing fresh and cold;Sun shiny & fair in the morning, but about noon it grew dark & overcast, and brought down a good deal of sleet & rain about 2 in ye Evening - haveing given amongst the Servants at LLysdulas 5s. I set out about noon and was at home before 3 ( blessed be the Mercifull God ) without meeting with any harm in travelling such deep, dangerous roads .
i8th.  The Wind W. blowing moderate, some sun shine, but dry all day: The Priest preached on i. Epistle of John Chap: 3d. 2ist verse·
i9th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing high & stormy all day & night, and raining pretty heavy all the morning, but the Evening & night was dry.
20th.  The Wind W. blowing high & cold, but dry this day & generally – Sun Shiny clear weather all this day: Paid The Priest 2L. 2s. 6d. for 4 Peggets & a measure of Oats bought of him last spring & 3s. 6d. for a quarter of Hundred of Wheat flower: and sent 9s. 6d. to Robt. Evans of LLanerchymedd to pay for News Papers by Mr.Sawtell's orders who is clark of the northern roads : & pd. iL. is. in part for the Millstones that are brought to the Mill .
2ist.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing moderately, yet very cold & raw weather all day, especially in the Evening, but made little of no rain
22d.  The Wind S. W. blowing high & stormy, cloudy & dark weather- all day. very cold besides, yet made no rain.
23d.  The Wind W. blowing moderate, pretty clear & some sun shine - from i0 till 3 in the Evening, but it rained exceeding hard before day, & afterwards till near 9 : Pd. Marged ’ chuw Morus 2s. 7d. for meat bought of her to day & this day Senight: delivered John Wm. sion Owen i2s. to buy flower in Liverpool.
24th.  The Wind S.W blowing moderate & dry all the morning,but the Evening was wet & stormy .
25th.  The Wind S.W blowing moderate yet raining a small mizling rain all the morning, but the Evening dryer·
