August 29th. came to LLysdulas about 6. where I was received with more civility and freedom that usuall, Mr. Meyrick of – Bodorgan comeing there that Night, it was 12 a clock ’ere we went to bed.
30th.  The Wind S.S.E calm & a Misling rain all the Morning Set out in the Evening for Beaumares, but being overtaken with a very heavy rain upon the way by LLigwy we were forced to turn back , and staid at LLysdulas that night. 
31st.  The Wind  S. blowing fresh, set out for Beaumares about 6 in the Morning, and came to Town about 9, Dined at my Lodging in Griffith Prichard's house, pd. 6d for our Dinner and 18d for Ale. rained very hard all night.
Septr. ist.  The Wind W S.W. blowing fresh, fair & clear, all day – dined at my lodging and pd. 18d for Ordinary & Extraordinary was invited to day to dine at Barn hill, but considering the Slight put upon me this time twelve month when all the Gentlemen in town were invited there but me, I– refused to go. paid afterwards 5d.[2 sw]/1 for ale.
2d.  The Wind W.S.W. fair & clear & blowing fresh, was invited to day to dine with the Sheriff, where I went, and staid there till 5 in the Evening. pd. at my Lodging 9d for Ale.
3d.  The Wind S. calm & cloudy all day with some mizling rain now and then, dined to day with the Grand. Jury – where I was invited, and at night drank at my Lodging ¶ [this symbol is in the margin opposite this line sw] 4d. 2/1 for ale. Pd. Clowse's Clark 6L. Cost of Law suit in sueing [T sw]. Edwards Pen yr Argaeu, from whom I never had a farthing –  
4th.  The Wind S. dark and cloudy all day, begun to rain about 8 and continued to rain hard all the rest of the day till Sun sett. dined to day at Magdalen Roberts, with Mr. Lewis of LLysdulas & others, where I pd. 1s. for meat and drink we met in the Evening at my lodging, where came
