April 8th.  The Wind S. S. W. very calm, cloudy and dark in the morning with some comfortable showers of rain, but — soon over: pd. to the Mole-catchers 8s. 6d. for 17 dosen of Moles they had destroyed·
9th.  The Wind S. S. W. and blowing moderate and warm, a great– dew on the ground this morning, Sun shiny and fair all day. the Market at LLanerchymedd yesterday was much lower; The Rye at 20s. and the Barley from iis. to i3s. the best.
i0th.  The Wind S. S. W. blowing very high &scorching & cold, especially in the Evening, and generally cloudy and dark: To Day I begun to sow Barley: Paid 4s. 9d. for Butcher ’s meat I bought to day & had bought the week before: Paid also to Hugh Shadrach 32s. for a Quarter of Wheat, being 8 Winchester Bushells.
iith.  The Wind S. & by W. blowing very high & cold, cloudy & dark all the morning: made some little rain at 2 or 3 severall times, but very little, yet that allayed the wind & great deal.
i2th.  The Wind S. very calm, cloudy dark & warm all day, and raining a fine rain all the morning: The Priest preached on John Chap: 9th. verse 4th. Set out about 4 this Evening to LLysdulas in my way to Beaumares Sessions which begins to morrow.
13th.  The Wind W. cold, raw & dark all day, yet continued dry; gave 1s.6d. to a Cocking, set out from LLysdulas about 2 in the Evening, & came to Beaumares before 6. and waited till past 8 before Taylor- White the Judge came from Plâs Newydd where he had been guzling in his belly all the day: went to Court to answer to my name,& retur –ned to my lodging: paid at my lodging is. 14th.  The Wind S. in the morning, came in the Evening to the W. was– very calm, and raining more or less all day : pd. at breakfast 6d: 1s. at dinner: & 6d. at night·
15th.  The Wind E. N. E. blowing fresh & cold, but Sun shiny & dry _ paid at my Lodging to day 2s. 6d. gave Mr. Lewis Davies’s widdow notice that I would discharge my Mortgage by paying the Principal & Interest in December next ·
16th.  The Wind N. E. blowing moderate, but very cold, yet sun shiny & fair:pd to day at my lodging 3s.
i7th.  ii ❍ [this is written vertically in the margin to the right of 'i7th.' sw]  The Wind N. E. in the morning, very moderate, Sun Shiny & fair, came to S.W. in the Evening & blew a little cold; This day was argued in the morning Court whether the Legatees of my Sister Edwards should be all– - owed Interest for their severall Legacies from the time of her Death, and the Court decreed that they should have Interest for their Legacies from the time of her Death till they were Pd. their Severall Legacies.--
