October 21st.  The Wind N. W. and moderate & not so cold as yesterday, with some Sun Shine : To day I finished sowing my Pinfold of Rye at Coydan : My Leg (I thank God) is pretty well recovered now, but I have been troubled these 4 last days with Cholick pains attended with the want of Appetite; I took some Hiera Pi[e sw]ra yesterday, but as it was so cold that day, I find my self little better after it .

The Wind E. blowing moderate & not cold, and generally Sun shiny and fair; and continued so all day: The Herrings that had left these Coasts some 8 or 9 days last past came here again, and some had 500 & more in a net·

23d.  The Wind E. & moderate with a mizling rain in the morning,but of a short continueance, & made several small & short showers after

24th.  The Wind N.W. blowing fresh & cold all day and generally dark & cloudy & exceeding dry, it being difficult in these parts to have Corn ground; My people these days are carrying home Gorse for Winter – service.
25th.  The Wind W. blowing high, cold & stormy, but very dry, & generally– clear & Sunshine; the Evening especially was very cold.
26th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and very cold, exceeding dry and generally Sun shiny & fair all day: A very great Fair for Cattle, Horses, Cloaths, woollen & Linnen at LLanfechell to day, but very little buying; Pd. 9d. for a Dosen besoms & 6d. for Nuts .
27th.  The Wind N.W. very calm ¢¢, cloudy & dark with some small dewy rain about 8, but soon over; Yet on the fall of night it set for rain, & begun to rain in earnest & continued so I believe most part, if not all the night.
28th.  The Wind S. pretty calm & raining hard in the morning till near 9; and continued to make frequent showers all the rest of the day.
29th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh and raining hard from long before day – till i in the Evening , was something dry afterwards till 3, And rained (yet not hard ) the rest of the Evening.
30th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, Sun shiny, clear & fair till i in the Evening when it made a small shower, the rest of the day was fair and dry.
31st.  The Wind S. blowing fresh and raining generally very hard from 2 in the morning without any intermission till 2 in the Evening, at wch. time it was dry & from thence till near 3, rained afterwards till night, but ye night was moon Shiny and fair.
November ist.  The Wind W. calm, clear Sun Shiny and fair all the morning, &untill 2 in the Evening when it grew dark & cloudy & continued so the rest of the day: The Priest preached on Luke Chap: 22d. vers. 19th. A very great Con – gregation to day at LLanfechell Church.
