July 6th.  The Wind S. and little of it, Sun shiny & fair in the morning: the Evening was cloudy & overcast: The Tenesmus was very troublesome to me all this day & I was very sick·
7th.  The Wind W. blowing moderate, Some sun shine but dark weather mostly : My Distemper turned to a great purging and I was very sick & weak . pd. 6s. for a pair of shoos each for Jane & Ann Wright ; & is. 6d. to Mar[g sw]: Jone[' sw]s for her work·

9th.  The Wind W. blowing moderate, yet cold for the time of the year and generally cloudy, but made no rain.

 The Wind S. and little of it and for the most part Sun shiny, but dry all the day: My people were all this week in the hay: I am all these days very sick, and reduced now ( blessed be God) to great weakness. I Executed to day a New Codicil to be Annex –ed to my Will -in favour much of my younger Grand – Children; Ann Wright who was always my favourite & well beloved being become all of a Sudden within a Month last past almost moped at times & shewing deep Signs of Melancholy and despair: May the Almighty restore her to her former good disposition.

i6th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, dark mawky weather with a miz – ling rain almost all day; My people have bid adieu to the hay for this day and they are carrying home the turf: Paid Richard Jones of Maen addwyn 7s. for being here 7 days makeing a Cart wheel·
