July i7th.  The Wind W...[the last of these dots is at superscript level sw]S. W. and little of,it, a great part of the day was cloudy and dark, yet it continued without raining. Paid is. [1/- sw] for two Bee - hives .
ï8th.  The Wind S. S. W. and almost calm, very little SunShine_ yet it continued with out make any great matter of rain: Paid Rhŷs Bentir is. 6d. for a quarter of veal: I Had Lewis Hughes served with notice of parting with Tyddŷn Cae Owen &c at Allsts. next.
i9th.  The Wind S. and little of it, cloudy and close warm air most part of the day, but altogether dry: My people all this week in the hay.
20th.  The Wind S. and little of it, this day was generally Sun shiny, but altogether dry and warm: Cholick pains afflicted me almost – all this night when I had ease about 4 in the morning by a return of the purging which had stopp'd these days.
2ist.  The Wind  W. and little of it, for the most part cloudy & dark, yet– continued without raining: My Stomach is sickish all this day: God grant me rest this night having very little last night: Lewis Hughes and I executed a Lease which I granted him upon farm where now he lives for 2i years to comence at Allsaints i759 [there are two dots under the date, or they could be blots sw] at the Annual – Rent of 5L. i0s. A good sucking lamb for a present & 2 days reaping in the harvest for services .
22d.  The Wind W. S. W. and blowing pretty fresh and cold for the time of the year, cloudy weather generally, yet made no rain .
23d.  The Wind N. blowing. pretty fresh and cold for the time of the year and generally Sun shiny and fair all this Day : The Spiners [there is a wavy line over the 'n' sw] of the poor's Cloth are at that work to day: Paid 8d. for fish.
24th.  The Wind N. and blowing moderate, generally, cloudy & dark, but continued dry all day·
25th.  The Wind N. blowing moderate, and for the most part Sun Shiny but dry all day: paid Rhŷs Bentir 2s. for Butcher's meat.
26th.  The Wind N. and little of it. yet very cold for the time of the year– and was generally Sun Shiny this day: My people every day of this week were in the hay & no time was lost .
27th.  The Wind N. E. and very little of it, cloudy and dark in the morning, and the rest of the day Sun shiny, warm & dry .

28th.   1❍ [this is written vertically in the margin below '28th.' sw] 

The Wind N. E. and very little of it: most part of this day was Sun shiny dry and Sultry: Paid the Excise Officer 5s. being my Duty on Plate.

29th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, Sun shiny, fair & dry all this day: And my people to day and yesterday were makeing the hay înto stacks.
