June 27th.  The Wind W. & by S . blowing fresh, generally Sun shiny & fair, but dry all this day: Paid Samuel Hughes the Apothecary's bill being 23s. 6d. & paid Thomas Bryan's bill being 3L. 7s. and paid Also i0s. being two years fee farm rent out of Tyddyn y Rhôs in full to last Michaelmas.
28th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing very fresh in the morning,Sun shiny fair & dry : all the Evening was cloudy & overcast and attended with frequent showers of rain, & cold; bought of Rhys Bentir a Side of Veal for 2s.
29th.  The Wind S.W. calm, sun shiny, fair & pleasant all day, and hot about noon: This week being so rainy, my people did little [real sw] service: pd. Humphrey Mostyn's bill being 3L. 8s.
30th.  The Wind S.W. calm, dark and overcast all day with a mizling rain all the morning till 9. and made severall ^&^ frequent showers afterwards especially in the Evening : The Priest preached on – Deut: Chap: 32d. verse 29th.
July the ist.  The Wind W. in the morning;came to N.W. about noon, cloudy & dark till ii, but the rest of the day was sun shiny, dry, fair & warm Pd. Abraham Jones' s bill being 8s. & delivered [? sw]ss his Daughter 2s to buy me a Saucepan in Chester.
2d.  The Wind S. W. calm, cloudy & dark, and raining more or less almost without intermission all this day, yet not heavily.
3d.  The Wind W. & by S. calm, dark cloudy weather & foggy attended with a small mizling rain most part of the morning: ye Evening was dryer, yet made some small showers: pd. 2d. for fish ·

July 5th.  The Wind W. & by S. very calm, cloudy & dark & raining a— hard mizling rain all the morning: The Evening was something dry, but altogether dark, moaky & moist Air: Pd. Margarett [there is an elongated cross over 'rgare' sw] uch – Hugh Morris i6d. for a quarter of Veal & a quarter of Lamb.
