October 10th. The Wind S. blowing fresh all day, cloudy & dark, but from 4 in the Evening till 12 at night it blew a great storm attended with rain most part of the time. |

12th. The Wind S. in the morning before day and raining excessive hard till 6 in the morning; soon after which it lightened and made one of the loudest crack of Thunder that ever I have – remembred to havehzzrd heard; which brought the Wind to W. and continued dry all the rest of the day & generally Sun Shiny . |
13th. The Wind S. blowing moderate, cloudy and dark,yet dry, except a small shower or two which were soon over; pd. 1s. for the Carriage of a Box of Anna Wright from London, & Pd. 1s. i0d. for a Side of Mutton |
14th. The Wind N. W. in the morning ; came to W. before noon, where it continued the rest of the day: it rained exceeding hard before day & there was a great flood in the morning, yet the day did prove dry & fair & generally Sun shiny: 3 of my Servants are this week carrying sand, the other two are plowing the Pinfold the second time. |
15th. The Wind W. blowing fresh, drying well all day & generall Sun shining, and the night fair and light . |
16th. The Wind S. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark all day, yet it made no rain; Sent 5s. by Alice Jones to Beaumares to buy things for Anna Wright. |
