October 7th.  The Wind W. calm, sun shiny, fair and warm all day I have people these days scattering useless hedges within the Pinfold which is Cae'r Garnedd in Coydan ·
8th.  6● [this is written vertically in the margin below '8th.' sw] The Wind W. very calm, and generally Sun shiny, serene and fair, but a very great hoar frost this morning on the — Garth, and some frost on the water:
9th.  The Wind W. calm, dry and fair, some sun shine, but generally cloudy & overcast: My people finish'd to day carrying the Muck to Brynclynni.
10th.  The Wind N.W. calm, sun shiny fair and pleasant weather from 8 in the morning till almost night: To Day my people – begin to sow Rye in the Pinfold at Coydan.
iith.  The Wind S.E blowing moderate with some mizling rain in the morning, and all the day was cloudy and dark with a moist Air but made no more rain .
i2th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and very cold, but Sun shiny fair & dry all day: Two of my people are these days ^carrying^ of Cemaes Sand, ( but taken up from under the Sea )and laying it on that part of Cae'r Sgubor Goedan that is steep, high & gravelly at ye North End of ye Barn
13th.  The Wind E. blowing very high and extream cold, but sunshiny fair & dry all day: Pd. i3d. for 3 quarters of a yard of hair cloath.
14th  The Wind E. blowing fresh and cold, sunshiny, fair &dry all day – To Day my people begin to gather & carry home the fern.
15th.  The Wind E. very calm, sun shiny , fair and pleasant all day but a very great hoar frost this morning, and the water freezed pretty hard . I had i0 people to day & yesterday cutting of fern and carrying it home, & the quantity after all is small enough ·
i6th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate, some sun shine & some cloudy weather, but very cold all day, no frost, & but little hoar frost – this morning : pd. 2d. for herrings.
17th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate, yet very cold & raw weather all day. more clouds to day than Sun shine, & look'd as if it would snow.
18th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate, yet very cold, but dry, Sun shiny & fair-& a pretty hard frost on the water this morning : Paid 4d. for 24 herrings : pd. is. 9d. for Butcher's meat ·
