| 28th. The Wind W. & by S. blowing moderate, Sun shiny fair & dry in the morning, and· the Evening was somewhat overcast with a smallshower of rain about 2, and rained very hard about 7 at Night: My people were all this week with 2 Carts carrying the Ash-hill by this house to Cae'r Iarlles in Brynclynni. |

| October ist. The Wind E. in the morning, a great hoar frost on the ground in the – morning, but was sun [there is a mark like a comma above the 'u' sw] shiny , fair and clear till 2 in the Evening when the wind came to S. and the rest of the day wascloudy and dark, but made no rain. |
