September 27th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, Sunshiny & fair in the morning till 9: afterwards it was dark & cloudy & made severall showers of rain, and some of them very heavy: pd. is. id. for a kind quarter of Mutton. & id.2/1 for Turnips.
28th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing moderate, Sun shiny fair & dry in the morning, and· the Evening was somewhat overcast with a smallshower of rain about 2, and rained very hard about 7 at Night: My people were all this week with 2 Carts carrying the Ash-hill by this house to Cae'r Iarlles in Brynclynni.
29th.  The Wind E. blowing very moderate, some sun shine, but generally it was cloudy and dark, and raining very hard long before day till near 9  – the rest of the day was dry.
30th.  The Wind E. very calm and generally Sun shine,but fair and dry all day.
October ist.  The Wind E. in the morning, a great hoar frost on the ground in the – morning, but was sun [there is a mark like a comma above the 'u' sw] shiny , fair and clear till 2 in the Evening when the wind came to S. and the rest of the day wascloudy and dark, but made no rain.
2d.  The Wind S. and blowing very moderate, with a mizling rain in the morning till 8, and the rest of the day was fair & dry, & some part of it sun shiny.
3d.  The Wind S. and blowing moderate with a mizling rain inthe morning till 8. the rest of the day was dry with some sun shine. 
4th.  The Wind S. calm, sun shiny, fair and warm all the morning and till near noon, afterwards it blew fresh and cold the rest of the day, and the wind was high in the night and rained very hard about 10 wch. continued for most part of the night: pd. to a Grand Daughter of Hugh Lewis tri-thri 12s. for dressing feathers for 12 beds. pd. 2s. 6d. for butcher's meat·
5th.  The Wind S. calm. sun shiny. fair, warm & dry all day, but made very heavy rain about 4 or 5 in the morning before day : My people are all this week also at the same work in Carting muck to Brynclynni.
6th.  The Wind W. very calm,and raining exceeding hard about 3 in the - morning attended with hail which continued unmelted till near 8 this morning, notwithstanding the great rain before day, and a very great shower this morning about 7, it blew fresh & cold the rest of the day & was dry yet made a great shower of hail about 7 at night: The Priest preached of John Chap:6th. 67 & 68. verses ·
