May 1st. The Wind N. W. blowing fresh & cold, yet sun shiny, fair & pleasant all day. |
2d. The Wind N. W. blowing fresh & very cold and scorching. but sun Shiny & fair all day: Set out from LLysdulas for home about 9, and came thro LLanelian & Amlough — where I had some business to settle, so that I did not reach – home till 5 in the Evening, gave among the Servants at LLys -dulas 6s. |
3d. The Wind N. W blowing fresh in the morning & cold enough the Evening was calm & much warmer, & it was generally Sun Shiny most of the day: Paid Laurence Lee a Tinker – 4s. for tinning 2 large Saucepans, a tossing pan, & Soldering the Spout of a Coffee Pot. |
4th. The Wind N.W. calm & fair & moderately warm all day; yet dark & cloudy in the morning : To day I finished sowing Barley — haveing Sowed at Coydayn 6 peggets i measure, at home 6 peggets ^2 measures^ paid 2s. for Butcher's meat . |
