July 27th.  The Wind N. E. and little of it, often cloudy , but all the day was very hot & Sultry: pd Rhŷs bentir 4s. for the meat I had of Him this day & this day Senight·
28th.  The Wind S. E. very calm, Sun shiny, hot and very Sultry all this day also: My people all this week (as they should be) in the hay.
29th.  The Wind E. very calm, dark , cloudy weather & raining hard in the morning about 5 & till very near 7. the rest of the day was dry, but cloudy & overcast·
30th.  The Wind S. E. and very little of it, generally cloudy & dark, yet made no rain till near night when it rained very heavy for a great part of the night.
3ist.  The Wind S.S.E. calm & dark cloudy weather most part of this day also – and about 2 in the Evening it made a small shower, but soon over.
August ist.  The Wind from W. in the morning to S. &S.W. calm for the most part & made frequent small showers this day : I have laboured for these 5 days under a Jaundice,my Stomach very sick, & I suspect that some other distemper hangs upon me besides,for my Stools are tinged with clotted blood, & find my Spirits very low afterwards ·
2d.  The Wind S. and very moderate, Sun shiny,fair & dry all this day & a good day in the hay:
3d.  The Wind S. blowing moderate in the morning, and generally Sunshiny the wind blew fresh in the Evening and was dry all day: Pd. Rhŷs the Butcher 5s. for Butcher's meat.
4th.  The Wind S. and little of it, cloudy & dark weather & raining hard —– from 2 in the morning till near 9, & frequent showers afterwards till 3 in the Evening when the sunshined again ·
5th.  The Wind E. and very moderate, Sun shiny , fair & clear almost all this day.
6th.  The Wind W. & little of it; cloudy dark weather for most part of this day, yet it continued dry till near 4 when it brought down some rain that prevented the people working in the hay.
7th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark weather & made some little rain this day likewise : Pd. John Owen 6s. for cleaning the two clocks; &Pd. Wm. Morgan Gadi is. [1/- sw] for a Set of Combs; & 6d. for a Punch ladle.
