August 2d.  The Wind S. W. blowing moderate, cloudy and dark generally all day, and made some little rain about 3 in the Evening.
3d.  The Wind S. blowing fresh with some Sun shine, but generally cloudy and dark: Pd. Rhŷs Bentir is. 6d. for a fore quarter of Veal, and pd. Marged uch huw Morrus 13d. for a quarter of Mutton
4th.  The Wind S. for the most part,but it was in E. & W .at times, blew fresh all day, especially in the Evening & at night, and rained almost without intermission, and from 7 in the Evening till i0 (& it may be much longer, for I went then to bed) it rained exceeding hard. My people this week were harvesting the hay & repairing Cae'r LLorriau wet ditch, all but this day.
5th.  The Wind variable this day also from S. to W. & N.W. & raining almost all the morning, and made severall showers also in the Evening:Pd. Hugh Owen i2s. of his Sumer's [there is a curlicued line over the 'm' sw] wages, & Pd. Wm. Thomas 5s. of his - Sumer's [there is a curlicued line over the 'm' sw] wages.
6th.  The Wind S.W. blowing fresh and drying well all this day,with a great part of it Sun shiny and warm: Pd. Robert Owen ye Sheppherd 6s. of his Sumer's [there is a line over the 'm' sw] wages.pd. 2s. for a Butter bowl, & small milk bowl, and a butter trencher.
7th.  The Wind S. W. blowing fresh in the morning , but the rest of the day from ii in the morning was calm, but cloudy & dark almost altoge- –ther, yet it made no rain: To day I made my upland hay into a Stack. 
8th.  The Wind S. W. very calm & raining long before day & untill near 6, dry from that time till noon, and rained afterwards more or less till night, and I believe for the most part of night .
9th.  The Wind S. W. calm cloudy & dark weather, the Air very moist all day & not drying at all, and Made some small showers besides Pd. 6d. to Edward Dowdall the Husband of Elizabeth uch William Mathew for soldering a Silver spoon.
10th.  The Wind Varying all this day, very calm,sultry & moist, &tho it made no rain yet it did not dry any thing at all.
iith.  The Wind E. and very little of it, raining a mizling rain in the morning but most part of the day was dry & some sunshine: My people were Most part of this week (as unfit for hay work) opening wet ditches & repairing them.
