E. very calm, cloudy & dark all the morning till i0: the rest of the day was generally Sun shiy [there is a line over the 'hiy' sw] & fair: The Priest preached on Rom: Chap: 13th. & the last part of the 13th. verse: Pd. to day 4d. for fish, and yesterday I pd.Hugh Griffith the Tinker 8d. for splaying 4 young sows· pd. to day like wise i0s. to Owen Roberts in part of this Sumer's [there is a line over 'ume' sw] wages. |

The Wind E. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark generally all day: rained hard early in the morning, pretty dry afterwards till 4 in the Evening but the rest of the day was wet & rainy: Paid Wm.Griffith 2L. 5s. freight for i0 tons of Coal, & 7s. 6d. Port Charges: Delivered him likewise 9s. 6d. to buy me flower in Liverpool, & 2s. I paid him over & above what I had given him to pay for the Coal; in all I paid threepounds four shillings |
