June 3d.  The Wind E. blowing fresh, very hot & scorching & sun shiny all day, but no dew fell last night: The Priest did preach on Psalm i30th. verse 3d.
4th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate, but excessive scorching and hot all day: paid John Hughes Mariner 36s. for 2 boat loads of sand he brought to Cemaes: I owe him 3s. more.
5th.  The Wind S. blowing very moderate, dark & cloudy and made some rain early in the morning, but none afterwards, the – whole day continued dark & cloudy, and was extream hot& sultry Pd. Wm. Griffith 3s. 6d. for 6 Chamber pots & 6 basons he bought forme at Liverpool of the White Delph ware: & delivered to him 3 Guineas to buy meCoal in Flintshire.
6th.  The Wind  N.E. and very moderate; cloudy & dark till 2 in ye Evening the rest of the day sun shiny, but all the day was very hot & sultry: Paid Hugh Jones of Marrian Lady Bulkeley's Agent i5s. being 3 years fee farm rent out of Tyddyn y Rhôs; pd. also to Robert Hughes Mariner three pounds i8s. 6d. for 8 hundred and 3 quarters of Red Wharf sand being the long hundred: gave Richd. Evans Mr. Price of Glanalaw's Son in law 5s. that brought home my Sister's Mare that had been with his S[t sw]o[ne sw] Horse·
7th.  The Wind variable all this day; N. E. in the morning, came to W.&N.W. and at last to S. in the Evening; was generally cloudy & dark,& very – calm, but very hot and Sultry all day , yet made no rain; these four last days my own servants & 5 day labourers were stocking Gorse and thorns in Cae'r Beudy & Cae’r Gamfa in Bodelwyn where I intend to lay – Sand on this Sumer [there is a line over the 'um' sw] with God's help.
8th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark till noon,and the Evening — Sun shiny, and all the day was very hot & Sultry; if God pleaseth to send rain it is very much wanted, the Earth being already very much scorch'd and the late corn looking very poor in most places bought to day of Rhŷs Bentir a Side of ordinary veal which cost me 3s. Pd. for the head 4d. & for a Side of Lamb is. 6d. Pd. him likewise 4s. 6d. for Butcher's meat I had of him before, in all 9s. 4d.
9th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, and generally dark & cloudy,but very hot & Sultry all day:  3 of my Servants were employed the last part of this week in carrying home the Gorse & thorns from Bodelwyn the other 2 were plowing the Pinfold at Coydan .

10th.  The Wind from S. to W. very calm, cloudy, dark weather,hot andsultry all day: above 100 persons received the Sacrament at LLanfechell Church this day.
