January iith.  The Wind W. calm, cloudy & overcast – a great hoar frost on the ground this morning &apretty hard frost.
i2th.  The Wind E. blowing very moderate, yet freezing very hard all day in the shade, but Sun [there is a short vertical line above the 'u' sw] shiny & fair: Paid Marged theKitching wench all her last Sumer's [there is a curlicue over the 'm' sw] wages being 20s.
i3th.  The Wind E. blowing high and exceeding cold & freezing all day attended with some small showers of Snow, which did not stand long but brought down either rain or Sleet before day which thawed a good deal of the frost.
i4th.  The Wind E. S. E. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark & gently thawing all this day and very cold and raw: Paid Rhŷs Bentir 2s. 4d. for a Side of Mutton & the head, & gave 2d. at Cards:
i5th.  The Wind E. & by S. blowing moderate, but very cold raw weather and gently thawing this day also: My people all this week likewise were carrying Muck to Cae'r LLorriau .
i6th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate & freezing all this day as it did very hard all last night .
i7th.  The Wind S. W. and blowing fresh as early as i in the morning & bringing down frequent showers of feather'd snow from that time to 3 in the Evening, but all was melted before the next morning:
i8th.  The Wind S. W. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark weather & gently thawing all this day, but made very heavy rain in the night·
i9th.  The Wind S. E. blowing high, cloudy & dark weather & exceeding cold all this day: The frost continues still in the ground for all ye rain, and the ground can't be plowed: Pd. is. for Oysters·

20th.  2 ● [this is written vertically in the margin below '20th.' sw]  The Wind W. blowing very high, cloudy and dark weather all day and exceeding cold :  My people have begun to plow to day, but how they speed I know not as yet.

2ist.  The Wind E. & by N. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark with a mizling rain almost all day, yet it freezed again before day: Paid Rhŷs Bentir 2s. 9d. for Butcher's meat.
22d.  The Wind variable this day from E. & by N, in the morning to W. & by S before noon, blowing moderate & dry all this day; My people these 3 last days were fallowing for Barley:
