October i5th. The Wind W. very calm, cloudy and dark generally all day, yet made a little sunshine about noon; the Evening was generally dirty with a mizling rain.

16th. The Wind N. W very calm, cloudy and dark all day, & made some mizling rain this day also.

17th. The Wind W. blowing a moderate gale & dry, yet cloudy & dark all this day: My people both these days are carrying home the fern

18th. The Wind W. & by N. blowing high and very cold, some Sun shine and dry all day: Paid 24s. 10d.2/1 for cloath & trimings to make Hugh ’Bwilliam Gabriel Cloaths.

19th. The Wind W. & by N. pretty moderate, but cold, dark & cloudy, about 9 I set out for LLanerchmedd to hear Offences against the laws of Excise , was near 6 at night before we finished, & set out being the excessive dark & raining a little & it was after 8 before I came home.

20th. The Wind W. & by N. blowing fresh & very cold all day, but made Some Sun Shine about noon, & all the day was generally dry; Pd. 2s. 1d. for a Side of Mutton .

The Wind N.W. blowing fresh and very cold, dark & cloudy - weather all day, but made no rain; My people are Since Thursday sowing Rye in the Pinfold at Cnewchdernog; & three of my Labourers are carrying Stones & Mortar for the Masons that are building a New Cow house upon Cnewchdernog uchaf for 20 head of Cattle

25th. The Wind W. blowing fresh, very cold & raw dark weather all day. An Extraordinary good Fair to day at LLanfechell: a very great number of Cattle of all sorts sold here: pd. 10d. for Apples & Nuts for the people & 1s.7d.for a hat for Hugh ’Bwilliam Gabriel.
