October the 7th. The Wind S. very moderate & warm, the Air very close, moist & foggy with frequent showers of small rain: My Gardiner & the boy in the Garden were all this week lopping & shapeing the forrest Trees in the fields & cutting off what were superfluous & anoyance to their Neighbours, by which I got a great deal of usefull Timber, besides brush wood for burning a great deal more: Allowed Robt. Edward 4s. land tax for Tyddyn y llêch. |
8th. The Wind W. blowing very moderate. Sun shiny fair & warm all day: The Priest preached the remainder of his Sermon he had begun this day three weeks. |
9th. The Wind W. very calm with a great hoar frost this morning Sun shiny, fair, warm and pleasant all day : gave 2s. for toys : b – t – e – a – m – b - d - n - g - h – f – [e sw] - gh . |
10th. The Wind E. N.E. very calm, with a prodigious thick hoar frost this morning; but all the day was Sun shiny, clear. fair & warm – Pd. Cousin Humphrey Mostyn i5s. over & above what I had given him before to pay for the hops & Carriage: Deliv[i sw]red to him likewise 30s. to pay for the Silk Fringe & lace for the Pulpit. |

W. very calm, cloudy & dark all day with some mizling rain about 9 but soon over: made a very good Fair to day at Aberffraw a great number bought, but at no great price: pd. 3s. for toys: To Day my faithfull and honest House Maid Jane Owenwas marryed to Thomas Wms. of Ynŷs Gnud: and I pray God to give herGrace content & happiness as I always esteem[i sw]d her for being what I sincere believe a Woman of Strict Virtue . |
