April 9th. The Wind S. dark & cloudy with some rain in ye morning My Brother Lewis & I kept the Court of Quarter Sessions (as we did every other day of this week when the Court of Great Sessions was not sitting ) this day in the Shire hall when the Court of Great Sessions was sitting, & qualifyed Mr. Owen LLoyd Chancellour of Bangor. Pd. 2s. 4d. for meat & drink & 1s. 6d for my Man. |
10th. The Wind S. blowing fresh and some rain in the morning — Attested a Bond given by Wm. Bodvell Esqr. to Mr. Rowland Hughes of LLigŵy for 200L. My Brother Lewis was the other Wittness. pd. for meat & drink 3s. 7d. & for my man 1s. 6d. pd. for my Horses 6s. at 9d. a night a piece. pd. Wm. Wynne ye barber 1s. 6d. gave the servants of the house 1s. tho this is the last day of the Sessions the Court sat to try causes till 3 in the Evening; a thing never known before in the memory of man Martyn the Judge being every day drunk deferred all buisness to the last, when they were hudled over in a very unbecoming manner . Set out from Beaumares about 6 in ye Evening & was at LLysdulas by 9. |

13th. The Wind W & by S . blowing fresh all day, & tho it was cloudy & dark & cold yet it made no rain. gave 1s. to ye groom at LLysdulas, set out about 5 & was at home before 7 . |
14th. The Wind S.W. blowing fresh & cold, with a dark cloudy sky, about 4 in ye Evening it made a little rain, & then left off, rained a brisk shower about 6, and made a good deal of rain on the fall of night. |
