March 2d.  The Wind W. and blowing moderate, cloudy & dark weather, but mild and warm till near noon when it grew very cold & accompanyed with a cold small rain all the Evening & most part of the night: The Priest preached on Ecclesiastes Chap: i2th. and the first verse·
3d.  The Wind W. calm, cloudy & dark & raining a small rain, but not cold till i0 in the morning: the rest of the day was dry: — Paid 6d. for fish & 5d. for Wild fowl being a Mallard & 2 Golden —– Plovers.
4th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing moderate, dark , foggy weather all the morning with a small mizling rain most part of the day.
5th.  The Wind S.W. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark, but dry allday_ Sent by the man(that went to Chester to bring home Miss Lettis— Ellis ) 36s. for Anna wright: and paid 6s. 8d. for weaving 32 yards of course flaxen cloath at 2d.2/1 a yard.
6th.  The Wind E. N.E. blowing pretty fresh, cloudy, dark&cold but dry all the morning; made some cold rain or sleet in the Evening and blew high the rest of the day & night & was extream cold · Sowed Carrot seeds to day for ye first time
7th.  The Wind N. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark weather but dry,and excessive cold, haveing freezed pretty hard last night & some little hail fell this day.
8th.  The Wind N.E. blowing very fresh & exceeding cold,dark & cloudy, it freezed pretty hard last night also, & brought down some little hail to day also: My people were all this week plowing, & haveing to day finished plowing forOats & fallowing for barely, are now ready to sow the Small Oats whenever the weather admits ·
9th.  The Wind N. E. blowing moderately, cloudy & dark all day and tho it did not freez last night, yet it is exceeding cold all day.
i0th.  The Wind N. pretty calm, dark & cloudy and snowing in ye morning but did not long stand : pd. John ifan 30s. being the remainder of his last year's wages in full to last Candlemas: & Pd. Hugh Owen iL. is. in part of his winter's wages .
