June 3d.  The Wind N.E. calm, cloudy & dark in ye morning with a mizling rain; cleared up about i0 & all the rest of the day was Sun shiny and fair: Set Tyddŷn LLwchan in the parish of LLanfair yn Neubwll This day to Hugh Lewis for the term of Seaven years to comence [there is a cup-shaped line over the 'm' sw] at Allsts. next at the yearly rent of four pounds clear of all taxes, together with the yearly present of two hundred Rhoscolyn Oysters, i hundred at Allsts. & another hundred at Christmas, & to be paid for an –other hundred to be brought yearly at Candlemas: Pd. Marged ’chuw Morus is. [1/- sw] for a Side of Lamb, & pd. Rhŷs Bentir 2s. id. for a Side of Veal & the head.
4th.  The Wind N.N.E. blowing moderate, but very cold for the time of the year & a great hoar frost this morning, Sun Shiny & fair all this day; some of my people this week employed in shelling of Oats to made Grots and Oat Meal, others of them in opening wet ditches: Paid Hugh - Mc. Mullein ^a Scots Pedlar^ 4s. for a pair of Stockins, & pd. him for things bought for Anna Wright 37s. 4d.2/1.
5th.  The Wind N. blowing moderate, yet very cold all day especially in the morning, but sun shiny & fair: The Curate, Mr. Jon[e sw]s preached on John Chap: 3d. verse 36th.
6th.  The Wind N. calm, Sun shiny, fair & warm all this day, but a very great hoar frost on the ground this morning, & some said there was frost on the water; Set this Day Melin y Nant & Maen Moel to Wm. Lewis now miller at LLewenan for the term of Seaven years to comence at Allsts. next at the yearly rent of Eleven pounds clear of all taxes, & to grind all my Malt Toll free.
7th.  The Wind N. blowing moderate, but very cold for the time of the year, yet generally sun shiny & fair.
8th.  The Wind N.E. blowing moderate, Sun shiny & fair;the Sun very hot, and the Wind blowing very cold all the day.
9th.  The Wind E. calm, cloudy & overcast, this day was moderately warm tho it made little sun Shine: Pd. Wm. Hughes 38s. in full of his last winter's wages & pd. Hugh Lodowig 29s. in full also of his last winter's wages & sent to LLanerchymedd Fair 6s. 2d. topay for things had of David Jones the Brasier; LLanerchmedd Fair was very full of people & severall things of the Countrey manufactures to be Sold – there but very few Cattle.
