September 17th. The Wind W. blowing fresh in the morning, Sun shiny fair, and drying well, the Evening was very calm & generally cloudy & dark but yet continued dry: The Priest preached on – James Chap: 3d. vers· 2d. |
18th. The Wind S.S.W. blowing moderate and generally Sun shiny but made some small showers but soon over: To Day I finished carrying in all my Corn: Paid Wm. Davies the Collector of the King 's Rents i8s. iid. for my lands in LLanddeusaint. |
19th. The Wind S. W. very moderate Sun shiny fair & dry, but a very great hoar frost this morning, the Wind blew fresh in the Evening grew cloudy & dark, and made some rain about 9 at night . |
20th. The Wind S. blowing fresh, Sun Shiny & fair in the morning till ii. then it grew cloudy & overcast; but made no great matter – of rain till ^near^ night when it rained for near an hour: Paid Cousin Humphrey Mostyn 's Shop Bill, Salt Bill, & 4 Dra[g sw]s I bought of him being in all 2 pounds 15 shillings & 5 pence |

W. very calm, Sun shiny clear & warm all this day, & really the most agreeable day it has made since Midsummer; Abundance of Cattle were to day at LLanerchmedd Fair, and a great many Cows & —— heifers were bought there, but at a lower price than usuall & very few Oxen of any kind were sold there. |

24th. The Wind E. very calm & moderately warm, but often cloudy & dark, yet cotinued dry all this day. |
25th. The Wind E. very calm, Sun shiny & fair till about 10, all the rest of the day was a dark stinking mist, cold & raw : Delivered Cousin Humph: Mostyn 42 shillings to buy me Hops in Chester Fair. |
