May i6th.  The Wind N. E. blowing very moderate, but something cold, yet sun shiny fair & dry all day: paid 3s. for half a pound of Bohea Tea: paid my Sister Catherine five pound of her Interest— money: gave 1s. to a raffling of Lewis Prichard Samuel: & paid – Rhys ab Howel i4s. 6d. being the remainder of his Winter's wages
i7th.  3❍ [this is written vertically in the margin between 'i7th.' and 'Whitsunday:' sw] Whitsunday: [this is written in the margin opposite this entry sw] The Wind E. in the morning; about noon it came to S.W. all the day was cloudy and dark, cold and raw especially in the Evening: about 90 persons comunicated [there is a line over the 'm' sw] here to day, being far more than usuall.
i8th.  The Wind S. S. W. blowing moderate, cloudy, dark weather all the morning; but the Evening generally was Sun shiny & fair.
19th.  The Wind S. W. blowing fresh & not warm, yet generally Sun shiny but dry all day: I had people to day gathering stones together at— Cefn y Groes, that if it grows well I may perhaps have some hay there.
20th.  The Wind S.S. W. blowing very moderate, cloudy and dark weather— and raining more or less almost all day:
2ist.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark weather, with frequent showers this day also: my people begun to day to plow the Pinfold at Cae'r Drym in Coydan, being in the parish of LLanbadrick .
22d  The Wind S. S.W. blowing very moderate all the morning, but the Evening it blew fresh & cold, and it has been so these severall— days:
23d.  The Wind S.W. calm, sun shiny warm & pleasant all the — morning; it blew fresh in the Evening and was pretty cold: To Day I gelt my he Cal Yearling calfs, kids and lambs . Paid 2s. 3d. for a Carcase of Lamb.
24th.  The Wind S. W. blowing fresh, & rather high all day, and cold for ye time of the year, yet was dry and generally Sun shiny : The Priest did preach on Luke Chap: i6th verses ist. & 2d. WE had acct. that Lord Bulkeley died last night, so that the Male heîrs – of that house are quite extinct ,he leaving onely a Daughter behind him a child 2 year old, weak & sickly.
25th.  The Wind S. E. & moderate, generally cloudy & dark with some showers of small rain, but soon over.
26th.  The Wind S. E .and dark hazy weather with a wet scotch mist all the morning; the Evening was dry, & generally Sun shiny and fair. Delivered Wm.Griffith 3Guineas to buy me things in Liverpool.
