May 5th.  The Wind S. W. and blowing very moderate, Sun shiny, fair & drying well; the ground to day is very wet, the water standing upon it where it is any thing even, and the ditches full of water.
6th.  The Wind in the morning early at S. very calm, it came- to S.E. when it made a very great shower of rain, &settled at last in due East & made severall very heavy showers - of rain, so that the ground is very wet.
7th.  The Wind N. E. very calm, Sun shiny, fair; warm and dry all day: My people this day (being Ascensionday)were bleeding the Horses, and triming [there is a wavy line over the 'm' sw] their Mains and tails.
8th.  The Wind S.W· calm, cloudy and dark weather all day,but warm, and a great part of the day was a mizling rain, but very soft: paid 2s. 1d. for a Carcase of a Lamb: & pd. Hugh Griffith is. [1/- sw] for splaying two she calfs .
9th.  The Wind S. very calm, warm, dry & fair, and generally Sun-shiny all this day, yet was misty & foggy at the fall of night: – my people this week are fenceing about the Corn·
i0th.  The Wind S. very calm, and generally Sun shiny, but very warm and pleasant all day: The Priest preached on i: Cor: Chap: i0th. & verse 12th.
iith.  The Wind E. calm, warm & pleasant in the morning till i0, &from 4 in the Evening till night, but the intermediate time it was– cold & scorching and blowing very fresh.
i2th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh, hot and scorching, but sun shiny & fair all day : Paid Richard Roberts of Cerrig Mân forty shillings & 6 pence for building of Maen Moel house, the walls of which measured 8i – yards, besides 7 yards of the old wall that was not pulled down.
13th.  The Wind E. blowing very fresh, hot & scorching, but sun shiny- all day: pd. iis. for two pound weight of Green Tea, & is. 6d. for a quarter of Mutton.
14th.  The Wind W. & W. & by N. very calm, Sun shiny, fair & warm all- the day: Pd. Catherine Prys ye remainder of her wages, being 3s.
15th.  The Wind N. very calm, but dark hazy weather for a great part of the day: paid Shadrach's Wife 1s. 9d. for Meat had to day & a Market before; pd. alsoto Rhys Bentir 3s. 3d. for Meat had to day : pd. i0d. for fish.
