| May 5th. The Wind S. W. and blowing very moderate, Sun shiny, fair & drying well; the ground to day is very wet, the water standing upon it where it is any thing even, and the ditches full of water. |
| 6th. The Wind in the morning early at S. very calm, it came- to S.E. when it made a very great shower of rain, &settled at last in due East & made severall very heavy showers - of rain, so that the ground is very wet. |
| 7th. The Wind N. E. very calm, Sun shiny, fair; warm and dry all day: My people this day (being Ascensionday)were bleeding the Horses, and triming [there is a wavy line over the 'm' sw] their Mains and tails. |
