April i5th.  The Wind N. blowing fresh, cloudy and dark, and very cold __ with some showers of hail about ii in the morning: pd. Harry Wms. i0s. 6d. of his Winter's wages: & pd. John Jones of Bwlch ^one^ of the Church wardens 8s. 10d. Church Mize for my lands in my own holding.
i6th.  The Wind N. E. blowing fresh & exceeding cold & scorching, made a very great shower of hail about 8 in the morning; 
i7th.  The Wind W. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark, made some rain in the morning about 6 and a great shower of hail afterwards, and rained very hard again from i0 till past noon which brought the wind back again to N. & NW. & blew high & exceeding cold: pd. 6s. i0d.2/1 for 5 yards & half of flannel to make Ann Wright peticoats.
i8th.  The Wind N.E. blowing moderate, but bringing down both hail & feather'd Snow which cover'd the ground before 8 in the morning — but was all melted before i0; and the Sun shined clear & fair; about one in the Evening I Set out for Beaumares Sessions ,arived in Town by 6. pd. 1d.2/1 for Ale at Bwlch Gwyn. i9th.  The Wind N. E. blowing fresh & excessive cold, & the ground thick covered with snow, haveing brought down feather'd snow & hail most part of last night & till 8 this morning: gave 6d. in ye glove at Swearing the Grand Jury, Pd. 6d. at breakfast, & 6d. at Night, Mr. Meyrick haveing treated all the company at dinner to day·
20th.  The Wind  S· blowing very high & attended with showers of rain all the morning & most part of the Evening & night; dined at an Entertainment given by Mr. Meyrick
2ist.  The Wind N. blowing moderate, Sun shiny fair & dry but cold gave W. Wynn the barber ’servant 6d. & dined this day at ye Judge & gave his Servant 2s. 
22d.  ● 3 [this is written vertically below '22d.' sw] The Wind W. blowing moderate, Sun shiny, fair & dry all day the Grand Jury were discharged this day after finding one Bill : gave the Cryer of the Court of Quarter Sessions 6d.
23d  The Wind W. blowing fresh, Sun shiny fair & dry. but cold all day, but especially in the Evening .
24th.  The Wind S. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark with some rain in the Morning, but all the Evening was wet & dirty ·
25th.  The Wind S. calm, Sun Shiny & warm all day.- This day came on the Election for a knight of Parliament for this County. when Sr. Nick Bayly was return'd. Pd. Mr. Charles Evans i0L. to be return ’d Sister Holt.&pd him 30s. for what his Mother had laid out for a Stays for my Sister Catty.
