The Wind E. and blowing very moderate, Sun Shiny & fair all the morning & untill 3 in the Evening when it grew cloudy & dark, but made no rain: my people these days employed in – different works, repairing wet ditches, clearing water courses some employed with the Carpenter in Sawing timber for the Barn & Stable at Cnewchdernog, others thatching the fern,& Spreading the Ashes carryed on Bodelwyn Meadows. |
14th. The Wind E. blowing fresh and very cold, cloudy & dark all day made a sharp shower of rain about 5 in the Evening & allayed the Wind. |
15th. The Wind E. blowing fresh & cold, Sun shiny clear & fair all day: My people this day were cutting Ash Poles at Bodelwyn to be sent to Cnewchdernog for the Barn & Stable there: they cut about a third part of the hedge, leaving behind them the largest & strait[es sw]t to grow into timber. |
16th. The Wind E. blowing fresh and cold, Sun shiny & fair all day; this night was very calm, but dark, succeeding severall that were very stormy . |
17th. The Wind E. and calm, cloudy & dark & very cold all day about 10 at night it made a very great shower of rain : paid 6d. for bread . |
18th. The Wind N. blowing very moderate in the morning, but cold yet sun shiny & fair; made a great shower about ii & fair afterwards the rest of the day, but very cold in the Evening & blowing fresh, Met Brother Lewis at LLanerchmedd to hear offences agaist theLaws of Excise, finished about i a clock, and was at home before six· |
