19th. The Wind N. blowing moderate, yet very cold, but generally– sun shiny & fair from 9 till night: yet it made a shower of two in, the morning before 9 : Paid Rhys Bentir is. [1/- sw] for a — quarter of Veal. |
20th. The Wind E. & by N. blowing fresh and very cold all day, & often – cloudy & dark, but made no rain: My people all this week are – plowing for Barley in order to finish before all the fodder is done because there is such a scarcity that most of the farmers have not a bit to give their Cattle; some haveing turned all out near a month & severall others since, and the ground very bare, and the weather very cold and nipping . pd. 6d. for Lobsters. |
2ist. The Wind E. & by N. blowing fresh and very cold, cloudy & dark — weather and begun to rain before ii. and rained very hard from that time till past 12; was very cold afterwards till about 6 in the Evening it grew calm, mild and warm all of a Sudden, but continued cloudy and dark the rest of the day. |
22d. The Wind N.E. blowing fresh and cold all day; most part of this day likewise was cloudy and dark, yet made no rain. |
23d. The Wind N.E. very calm, cloudy & dark weather with very frequent showers of small, dewy rain dureing all the day. |
24th. The Wind S. in the morning cloudy and dark weather attended — with small rain & sometimes pretty hard from early in ye morning till near ii, was dry afterwards till 6 in the Evening when it rained again,and in the night. |
25th. The Wind variable & unfix'd all the day; from N.E. to N.W.&W. very calm & fair. and about noon very sultry: LLanerchmedd Fair proved a good one, but no great number of good Cattle in it; but all the Cows in a manner were bought there & at a good rate: Wm. Jones of LLandegvan bought my 10 Runts for 64 pounds. |
