May 8th.  The Wind N. N. E. blowing fresh and very cold all day- yet it was sun shiny till 5 in the Evening, but when the Sun disappeared, the cold was as intense as any day in the winter,paid 2d.2/1 for a Whet - stone for the Garden Scythe .
9th.  The Wind N.N.E. blowing fresh and cold, and generally Sunshiny and very scorching weather all these days: pd. is. [1/- sw] for Ducks.
10th.  The Wind S. W. in the morning and raining incessantly from 6 in the morning till past noon; the Evening was Sun shiny and fair, but cold, and the wind came to N. before night.
iith.  The Wind N.W. blowing very moderate, Sun shiny, fair and — pretty warm all this day: My people all this week were digging up Gorse and carrying them home; except two of them that were since thursday morning plowing the Pinfold at Coydan.
12th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and cold, cloudy and dark all day — attempted to rain severall times, but very few drops came down The Priest preached on Rom: Chap: i3th. & the last part of the Rom: i3th.i3th. [this is written in the margin opposite this line sw] 13th vers.
13th.  The Wind N. E. blowing fresh and cold, and raining a heavy — cold rain about 4 in the Morning; the rest of the day was dry,but cold & generally Sun Shiny: Paid 27s. 6d. for a Boat load of Red Wharf Sand being something more than 360 measures. 
i4th.  1● [this is written vertically in the margin below 'i4th.' sw] The Wind varying and inconstant all this day; it was at North in the morning and blowing moderate & not so cold as the last days, and Sun shiny & pleasant: it came to W. about noon and blew fresher, and before night it was at S. blowing fresh and very cold: pd. 3s. for Butcher's Meat had this week & 2 weeks — before ·
15th.  The Wind blowing from S. to W. & before night from N. moderate and warm, & raining hard early in the morning, & rained again about 3 in the Evening.
16th.  The Wind S.W. blowing very moderate, but cold, cloudy & dark all the morning; about noon it begun to rain, and rained very hard from that time till near 5. the rest of the day was dry, but dark & overcast.
17th.  The Wind S.W. blowing high & cold, cloudy & overcast; and contin -ued so all day except that the wind was much allayed in the Evening : pd. 9d. for a Side of Lamb·
