Oct. 22d.  the Viccar of LLanbadrick (Mr. Owen Davies of Taŷ'r Meibion in Llandyfrydog being the third Trustee) for him the Sd John Bulkeley to keep School at LLanfechell pursuant to the Sd Will–
23d.  The Wind W.N.W. fair, pleasant weather, clear & dry all day, this day I begun to carry upon the meadow of Bodelwyn that was Mossy & ∎id not bear hay, a Dunghill I had bought of Wm. Rogers of Rhôs y Pŷll, consisting of a Mixture of Neat's Dung & Ashes, which I had bought for 2s.
24th  The Wind S.S.W. & very still, dark cloudy & rainy–it begun to rain long before day, & rained without intermission till 3 in ye Evening, & from that time till 11 or 12 at night with very little intermission it rained again.
25th.  The Wind W. Cloudy & dark, yet dry, but very Wet & dirty, a pretty good Fair to day at LLanfechell, a great many Cattle sold, tho the rates were small, spent 2d for Ale, & bought a Quarter of Beer of John Salisbury for 6s. 6d.
26th.  The Wind W.N.W. dry & Cold, with frequent showers of rain most part of the day, finished to day carrying the compost of Neat's Dung & Ashes from Rhôs y Pill to Bod-elwyn meadow. Paid Mr. John Bulkeley of Bwchanan the Lady Dowager Bulkeley's Steward 10s for [? sw] farm Rent for 2 years issuing out of Tyddyn y Rhôs.
27th.  The Wind N.N.W. blowing high & very cold, dark & cloudy in the Morning, cleared up about 9 made some small showers in ye Evening, continued Cold & blowing high all ye rest of the Day & Night
28th.  The Wind N.N.W, blowing fresh, very cold & dry, & something cloudy till about Sun set the Wind came to W.SW. and made some showers of Misling rain in the Night. hired Richd Jones for my Gardiner, who had been [? sw] at Henblas, and brought up under John Grisdall the Gardiner, he is to have 3ls. 10s wages for the year, gave him 6d. Earnest.
29th.   Wind S. Dull, wett, raw weather with a Misling rain in ye Morning the Evening dry & fairer.
