Novr. 18th.  The Wind S. dark & cloudy & the Air moist yet made but little or no rain all day, my people still at the same work of plowing at Cnewchdernog.
19th. The Wind S. dark & cloudy, with driveing wett — Mist all day, my people at home carrying the Gorse with 5 drags for Winter use, the others att Cnewchdernog at the same work, my Gardiner cutting of Trenches to plant small Beech into a Nursery, from 3 to 6 this – morning it made very heavy rain, pd 6d for 3 Teals– rained very hard all the the Evening afterwards, and at night the rain was without intermission —Pd. [this is not crossed out; the 'Pd.' is written over one of WB's dashes sw] Owen Wms. the Parson of LLan Rug one of the Executors of Thomas Jones of Beaumares Taylor, & William Davies, the Son of John Davies late of LLangwifan deceased, another of . the Sd thomas Jones 's Executors, 3L. 16s. two years Rent for Tyddyn Nicholas Watkin in my holding. pd likewise to Margarett Wms. my Housekeeper(who parted this day ) 3s. 6d. the remainder of 30s. her half year's Wages, & also 3L. for a year's wages due this day
20th.  The Wind S. raining all last night, & continued to do so excessively without intermission till ii this — Morning when the wind came to W. the Evening fair Sun-shiny & pleasant. to night Jane Owen my Old House–keeper came home.
2ist  ● 3 [this is written vertically immediately below '2ist' sw] The Wind W. dark and & cloudy, & very calm & still all the Day long, begun to rain about 8 a clock & continued raining more or less till 3 in the Evening. fair afterwards the rest of the day —
22d.  The Wind S.W. a dull, dark unpleasant day, but made no rain, walked to day to see my Plantation at Gâllt ddu, found there above 40 Goats, killed i. as I did 2 before, yet can't get the owner to take warning to keep them at home.
