July 24th.  The Wind S.W. & by S. blowing high & stormy & attended — with heavy rain all day, especially in the Evening: pd. 2s.for a Chafing dish, 6d. for a hundred of Marsh or Sandrush ropes, & 3d. for a Garden – whetstone ·
25th.  The Wind W. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark all the morning; but the Evening was Sun shiny & all the day was dry; Pd. 6d. for Crab fish.
26th.  The Wind S. & by W. blowing very little, but raining from long – before day to i0 at night & after, & for the most part very heavy Pd. 4d. for a Calf's head.
27th.  The Wind W. blowing very moderate, cloudy in the morning till i0: & the rest of the day was Sun shiny hot & dry.
28th.  The Wind W. very calm, cloudy in the morning till i0, afterwards Sun – shiny & fair, & dry all day: The Priest preached on Luke Chap; 22d.verse and the last part of the i9th. verse.
29th.  The Wind N.W. calm, sun shiny, hot & dry all this day which proved a great relief to the hay that had lain long under heavy rains, & was in a dirty condition  .
30th.  The Wind S.S.W. blowing moderate, dark cloudy weather almost all day; & tho it made but little rain, yet it looked so unpromising that people would not venture to open their hay.
3ist.  The Wind S.W. very calm, cloudy and dark weather & raining - hard in the morning & till near 9: The Evening was dry; yet it made but little sun shine.
August. ist.  The Wind S.W. very calm, dark cloudy weather with a mizling rain in the morning: about ii I set out for LLanerchymedd to Join Mr. Lewis in hearing offences against the laws of Excise; it was near 8 at night when we finished, and was past 9 when I came hence.
2d.  The Wind W. very calm, and generally cloudy & dark, but some Sun shine about noon, and all the day was dry and very Sultry: bought of Rhŷs Bentir a quarter of Veal for is. 3d. & the head for 4d.
3d.  [? sw]3 ❍ [this is written vertically below '3d.' sw] The Wind S. blowing very moderate, or rather calm, Sunshiny fair,clear & hot weather generally all this day & my people these 3 last days – employed in the hay.
4th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh in the morning about 2& raining hard,grew afterwards very calm & made severall showers of mizling raintill near ii when the Wind came to W. & was dry the rest of the day.
