29th.  The Wind .S.E. and moderately warm, it rained all last <night> & till Sun rise this morning, about 1 a clock it rained very violent for an hour or more; then fair the rest of the day.

30th.  The Wind . E. pretty cold & cloudy all day. I cut this day a Red Rose in full Bloom: about 12 in the forenoon the wind came to .N.E. and rained from that time till night without intermission–
