December 16th.  The Wind W. blowing moderate & not cold, and generally Sun shiny fair and dry all this day: Gave Mr. Brisco the Collector of the Customs at Beaumares one Guinea for com[e sw]ing here to swear my Mother to an Affidavit in the Exchecquer for a debt of 28L. being last year's rent that Wm. Humphrey of LLan gwnadle owes her, whereby she may get a Special Quo Minus against him for the Same. 
17th.  The Wind N. & by E. blowing very moderate, and generally Sun – shiny, fair & dry all day; The Priest preached on James Chap: 3d. & the first part of the 2d. verse.
18th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing very moderate & not cold, cloudy and dark most part of the day, yet made no rain till night, when I believe it rained ^for the^ most part of it, gave 2s. for a young Goat.
19th.  The Wind S.W. calm & warm & raining hard & incessantly from long before day till i0: the rest of the day and night was close, dark & foggy, (which fog had a very offensive smell ) with frequent small showers of Mizling rain .
20th.  The Wind S.W. very calm, cloudy, dark weather all day: about 4 in ye Evening it begun to rain a small mizling rain, which it continued till 12 at night or one in the morning when the Wind came to E. and freezed before day. & a very great hoar frost.
2ist.  The Wind E. blowing very moderate, Sun shiny & fair all day, and freezing in the shade; Pd. 1s. for a hundred Oysters.
22d.  The Wind E. & by N. blowing pretty fresh and very cold & freezing all day; paid Hugh Prŷs 3s. for a pair of Shooes for H.’Bwiliam Gab.
23d.  The Wind E. & by S. blowing very fresh & very cold & freezing all day; gave 1s. 6d. to two poor people besides their Dole of flesh & Corn, and there some more that I must send them money that did not come hither.
24th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and exceeding cold, yet did not freeze, nor did it thaw much all day , yet made neither Snow nor rain.
25th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and excessive cold all day, & very dark and cloudy besides, yet brought nothing down, neither did it freeze nor thaw: about 70 persons comunicated [there is a line over the 'm' sw] to day.
Janr. [this is written in the margin opposite this entry sw]  26th.  The Wind S. E. blowing moderate, but very cold, raw & chilly, begun to rain before night, & made a great deal of rain before day. gave 6d. to LLanerchmedd - Post Boy .
