February ist. The Wind S.W. very moderate, but cold and raw, yet some Sun shiny weather & dry all day, but made very heavy rains of long continuance some hours before day. |
2d. The Wind S.S.W. calm and gentle, and Sun Shiny, fair & dry all day. as likewise was the Night calm,fair and starry. |
3d. The Wind N.E. very moderate, a hoar frost this morning, but the day was Sun Shiny fair and warm till 3 in the Evening when it grew cloudy & overcast & made some little rain – about 4. Lent my mother 10s. & pd.2/1 for Tobbacco. |
4th. The Wind E. calm & raw cold weather with a mizling rain all the morning and untill [3 sw] in the Evening,the rest of the day cloudy & cold: My people this week were makeing Cae Carreg yr Eirin into a Pinfold for the Cattle next Sumer [there is a wavy line over the 'm' sw]. |
5th. The Wind N.W. and very moderate, Sun shiny, fair & warm in the morning; about ii it grew cold and made a very heavy shower of Sleet, and all the rest of the day was raw & cold & a great deal of hail fell about 8 at night; The Priest preached on Mat: Chap: 5th. & the first 10 verses. |

W. very moderate, but dark, hazy weather, cold & raw, all day, about 2 in the Evening it made very long & heavy showers of rain, and the Air all the rest of the day was dark & Moist:To Day my people were employed in carrying of Timber from Cemaes– to repair the house Kiln by the Mill; the Rib timber that lye upon the Joyces & which bear up the Corn, being all decayed & New timber are to be put there in their stead . |
7th. The Wind S. W. blowing pretty fresh all day, but not cold, and generally sun shiny and fair 4 in the Evening when it grew dark & overcast and the wind to blow high, & it blew high & tempest -uous attended with rain all or most part of the night. I Have seen these two days one of the Yellow Daffodils opened into Blossom. |
