June 28th.  The Wind variable, very calm, cloudy and dark _ & very Sultry with frequent Showers all the morning with some thunder, about 4 in the Evening & untill night it thundered & lightened very frequent & rained exceeding hard att the fall of night.
29th. ❍4 [this is written vertically below '29th.' sw] The Wind S. very calm, dark and cloudy all day & very Sultry, with frequent showers of rain, especially in the Evening early & till 4 a clock, the rest of the Evening Sun Shiny and fair & dry : paid 4d for fish . & pd. Owen Hughes the Smith's Bill of 5s.
30th.  The Wind S. with a little gale, cloudy & dark in the morning till 9. afterwards Sun Shiny and fair, & all the day was dry: My people in the morning were assisting with 2 Carts to carry — materials for repairing the high way till i0, the rest of the day they were in the hay. Pd. Thomas Sion Rolant the Fuller of Cefn – Côch 2s. 6d. for scowring 30 Blankets.
July ist.  The Wind S. very calm, sun shiny. hot and Sultry all day: The Priest yesterday had a meeting to set his Tythe, and Set Caerdegog Parcell for 30L. and Dygwel for 2L. 10s. the flax and hemp of the whole parish for 13s. LLawr y LLan parcell & parcell y Mynydd were not set.
2d.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, Sun shiny and very Sultry and hot all day; about 3 in the Evening it grew cloudy & overcast and brought down a few drops of rain about 4. but did no more; was a thick fogg at the fall of night.
3d.  The Wind N. W. in the morning, cameto N. in the Evening, was calm all day, with a mizling rain in the morning, the Evening Sun Shiny & fair; The Priest preached on Rom: Chap . 8th & the last part of the 6th. vers ·
4th.  The Wind W. calm & dry, but generally cloudy & overcast all day– finished makeing the hay in Cae Ty 'n y llwyn & Cae Caled into big Cocks; gave My Brother Lewis man who brought me fish 6d.
5th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing fresh, the Air warm, but not sultry– cloudy & dark generally all day. but continued dry, and my – people were in the hay in the Evening .
6th.  The Wind S. blowing very high and stormy all day, and generally cloudy & overcast, yet it continued dry : The Market at LLanerchymedd very slow and the price for Corn very low.
7th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark but dry & warm all day, Paid Thomas Jones the Slater of Cefn Helyg 3 pounds 8 shillings for pointing one Side of the barn, the little house, and all the house of Brynddu except ye west side of the Parlour & buttery  - at 1d.1/2  a yard .
