October i3th.  The Wind E. blowing very moderate, Sun shiny fair & not cold all day, but drying well: Paid 3L. 3s. for a Cow I bought at Nant y frân.
i4th.  The Wind N.N.E. blowing very moderate, Sun shiny, fair & clear – [there is a cross with a long horizontal bar above 'ar –' sw] all day, yet cold & drying well: my people these days are gathering fern for fuell, the weather being calm & dry: it freez'd very hard last night & a very great hoar frost this morning on the ground ·
i5th.  The Wind E. very calm, cloudy and dark weather, and raining all the morning pretty hard; but from noon all the rest of the day & all the night it rained hard without any intermission.
i6th.  The Wind W. calm, & generally cloudy, but some intervals of Sun shine & frequent Showers of heavy rain in the morning; & the Even– – ing was something dry :
i7th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and cold, dry this day & for the most part Sun shiny and fair: Paid Wm. Bevan 8s. more for labouring – work, pd. Marged ’ chuw Morus 9d. for a quarter of Mutton.
i8th.  The Wind E. blowing fresh and cold, but sun shiny and dry all this day, but so much rain has fell that the ground is excessive wet,and nothing can dry it till the winds & Sun in next March.
i9th.  The Wind E. blowing moderate, cloudy for the most part ,cold, but dry all this day: The Priest finished the Sermon begun this — day fortnight ·
20th.  3 ❍ [this is written vertically in the margin below '20th.' sw] The Wind E. blowing moderate and not cold, Sun Shiny, fair & dry all this day: Paid Rhys Bentir 4s. 6d. for Butcher's meat had of him this day & last fryday; paid also to John Owen – 2s. 6d. for cleaning the clock.

22d.  The Wind N.W. blowing moderate, cloudy & dark attended with showers of hail & Sleet and cold raw weather all this day.
23d.  The Wind W. N. W. blowing pretty fresh with showers of hail and sleet in the morning, but the rest of the day was dry, but cold & raw.
24th.  The Wind W. &by N. blowing fresh, cold with showers of Sleet in the morning, but afterwards dry : Paid Marged ’chuw Morus 2s.8d.– for a Side of Mutton, & 2d. for Eggs.
