June 26th.  The Wind S. S. W. blowing pretty fresh, and generally Sun Shiny, warm & dry all day .
27th.  The Wind W. & by S. and blowing very moderate,and for the most part Sun Shiny warm & dry this day likewise.
28th.  The Wind W. S. W. Sun shiny fair &warm in the morning & very calm, it blew fresh & cold in the Evening, was cloudy & overcast & made a sharp shower at the fall of night. Paid Thomas Prichd.s bill being i7s. 4d.
29th.  The Wind S. calm & cloudy dark weather & raining exceeding hard about 2 in the morning accompanyed with Thunder & lighting and made frequent showers afterwards dureing the rest of the day; Paid Humphrey Mostyn's bill being 3L. i3s. infull: & pd. likewise Catherine Jones's bill being 2L. i6s.
30th.  The Wind N. blowing pretty fresh in the morning with some little rain but the day in generall was Sun shiny and dry : My people most part of this week were opening wet ditches : Paid Mich: Evans 4L. i8s. for two pieces of Cotton Stuffs he had bought for me in Manchester .
July ist.  The Wind N. calm & generally cloudy,pretty warm &dry all this day. The Parson Priest preached on i: Thes: Chap: 5th. verse i7th.
2d.  The Wind W. & by N. calm warm & something sultry , Some SunShine but generally cloudy: Delivered to Ellin Hughes 4L. i0s. to pay Mrs.Whitf[il sw]d in Chester: & 3s. 6d. to Ellin Jones to pay for some drugs.
3d.  The Wind W. & by N. blowing pretty fresh wark & Sultry tho generally cloudy and overcast; Pd. Wm. Bevan is. [1/- sw] for labouring work. This day I began to Mow ·
4th.  The Wind N.W. generally cloudy & dark but Sultry & dry all this day also.
5th.  The Wind from W. to S.W. blowing moderate very Sultry & hot and Sun Shiny for most part of this day also.
6th.  The Wind S.W. blowing fresh, Sun Shiny & hot and Sultry all this day also ·
7th.  The Wind S. W. blowing pretty fresh, Sun Shiny hot & very Sultry all this day also; My people harvesting the Turf and in the hayall this week. Pd. Owen Robts. 32s. in full of his last Winter's wages.
8th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh whistling & tumultuous & threatning rain, yet made but very little about 9 in the morning. the Windstill continued high all day.
