July 6th.  The Wind S. & by E. blowing very moderate,Sun shiny fair and warm, but not sultry; grew cloudy and overcast in the Evening, but made no rain : Pd. Ann Warmingham is. 6d. for 2/1 pound of White Worsted she had bought for me in Dublin: Paid likewise – to John Jameson a Scotch Pedlar 3s. for a double cotton night cap, 3s. for 2 double Diaper Night caps; 8s. for 4 Scotch Muslin Cravats i0s. for 2 pair of brown thread stockins, 8s. for 2 pair of white – Cotton stockins for Ann Wright: in all iL. i2s. Pd. also to Rhys Bentir 2s. 6d. for Butcher's meat.
7th.  The Wind S. & little of it all the day till near 6 in the Evening it made a little breeze, some sun-shine, and all the day till 6 in ye Evening was very hot & sultry, cloudy & dark generally & very like rain but made none dureing the day: Part of my Servants were this week also carryingSand the rest were harvesting the turf & pea[c sw]e & one day in the hay; Paid Mr. Wm. Morris 2s. 6d. being Duty for 2 Chairs I had from Dublin.
8th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh & raining hard this morning till near . 7 (as it did for most part of last night ) the rest of the day was– windy and dry and generally Sun Shiny.
9th.  The Wind S. S. W. blowing fresh or rather high, especially in the Evening; the morning, & untill 3 in the Evening was generally Sun Shiny, but the rest of the day was overcast & very like to rain Paid Owen Roberts 5s. of this Sumer's [there is a wavy line over the 'm' sw] wages,& pd. Cos: Humphrey Mostyn 6s. 6d. which helaid out for me in Chester over & above the Guinea I gave him to buy me 2 yards 2/1 of Manchester Velvet: pd. likewise to Thomas Jones the Can[t sw]wr 7s. for 2 pound Weight of Bohea Tea.
i0th.  The Wind S. S.W. blowing pretty fresh, Sun Shiny,hot, dry & sultry; from 3 in the Evening it grew dark & overcast and begun to rain a small warm rain before 8 which it continued I believe all night.
iith.  The Wind N. in the morning and raining hard a small rain till near 8, The Wind came afterwards to N.W. it blew pretty fresh all day, & was generally Sun shiny & dryed well: Sold to day 8 wethers to — — Rhys Bentir for 7s. a piece.
12th.  The Wind W. blowing pretty fresh,& generally dark & overcast,but dry all day.
13th.  The Wind W. & by N. & very moderate, Sun Shiny,fair & generally— hot all day: Paid Rhys Hughes, alias Rhys Bentir 2s. iid. for Butcher's meat .
