May the 15th.  The Wind S.W. calm & warm, & raining in the Morning; hot & Sultry from 10 to 4 & fine growing weather — Set to day Tyddyn y Drym to William Jones for the term of 5 years to comence at Allsts. next 40s. for the 2 first years & 45 all the years after; with the usuall presents of 2 Pullets 6 Chickens & 2 days reaping:

16th.  The Wind N.W. moderately Warm, but often cloudy ,I sowed a 

[there is a symbol in the margin opposite this line that looks like a hash without the lower horizontal line sw] Bed of Fir-Seeds of my own harvesting: pd. Sian y Sebon 4s. for half a pound of Green Tea .

17th.  The Wind E.N.E. cold and Scorching, and blowing fresh – all day, my Servant begun [there is an 'i' above the 'u', in a different hand sw] to day to plow the Pinfold at – Coydan.
18th.  The Wind E. & by N. blowing very high, cold & scorching; very poor meat at LLanfechell Markett; pd. 2d2/1 for Eggs_ & gave 1s. Charity to a poor man that had a loss for his onely Cow.
19th.  The Wind E.& by N. blowing high, very dry & scorching – & continued so all day.
20th.  The Wind E. very calm, and clear warm weather all day a very great congregation at LLavechell Church, the Parson preached on Ps. 37th. & 37. and 38 verses.
2ist.  The Wind W. & by S. calm, hot & Sultry all day, & a fine dew & <some rain about 10 in ye morning.> in the Morning & at night, my people cleaning of Barley sold to Humphrey Mostyn for 12s. 9d. a pegget, pd 1s. for 120 Oysters.
22d.  The Wind W. & by N. very calm & very hot weather, my people still at ye Same work, besides carrying it to the Ship at Cemaes – Mr. John Evans of B[w sw]llen, Mr. Meyrick of Bodorgan's Agent came here to day, & signified to me that his Master <had>❚ Purchased [ye sw] Croes – Fechan lands, & cla<i>med my returning Tenant for the lands in my holding, which I did, and gave him 6d Earnest . To day likewise came here a Servant of Ld. Bulkeley sent to carry mourning —— Rings to ye bearers at his Brother's Burying, & brought me one weighi[n sw]g something above half a Guinia; I gave him 2s. 6d.
