May ist. The Wind S. cloudy and dark, haveing rained very hard last night & some rain this morning, made some rain ag –ain about 10, & also about noon & all the Evening dark and hazy. Blessed be the Almighty God. My Dear Mo- - ther is much better to day, & may the Father of all mercies shew her his mercy & restore her to her former health: The parish met in a Vestry after Morning Prayer & choseHugh Thomas of Cors y Ddafad Church warden for this year. |
2d. 2❍ [this is written in the margin below '2d.' sw] The Wind E. & by N. very calm and moderately warm – and raining almost without intermission & generally – very hard from 2 or 3 in the morning till near Sun Set. My Dear Mother by God's blessing on what I gave her is now perfectly restored to her health . |

5th. The Wind S. blowing fresh and raining exceeding hard – about 6 this morning, and a mizling rain afterwards most part of the morning, and the Wind very high about noon; made no great matter of rain in the Evening, & yet did not dry at all. To day I turned out my Cattle. |
