27th.  The Wind S. calm, dark & cloudy weather all this day with some – small showers of rain, but ^of^ short continuance·
28th.  The Wind N. and little of it; this day was generally Sun shiny & altogether dry .
29th.  The Wind N. E. calm, cloudy & dark weather, but dry all this day also, Pd. Rhys Bentir 3s. 6d. for Butcher's meat .
30th.  The Wind W. very calm; cloudy & dark weather but dry all this day also: Carryed home to day from on board Hugh Edward of Amlough's vessell 9 Tons of Coals bought at Warrington:(I had bought i0 Ton & one I let Mr. Thomas Morris have ) the Coal cost there 3L. is. 8d. Port char – ges at Liverpool & Warrington 7s. 10d. at Beaumares . 4s. 8d. Paid for the freight 2L. 5s. Duty for the Coal measured out 4 chaldrons & 8 bushels 20s. 9d. 2/1 ([5 sw]d. returned for promp payment ) gave fowk the officer 2s. so that the 10 Tons of Coal cost 7L. 2s.
October ist.  The Wind W. calm with some sun shine,but generally cloudy & dark, yet dry all this day also: Pd. Robt. Owen shepperd 8s. of his wages Pd. Marged Jones i0s. 6d of her sumer's [there is a wavy line over the 'm' sw] wages·

4th.  The Wind S. blowing fresh & cold, cloudy & dark weather this day also, but made no rain: Pd. Wm. Prichard the weaver 6s.for weaving the poor's cloath, & pd. 1s. 8d. for meat & drink at LLanerchymedd — where I was upon buisiness ·
5th.  The Wind N. E. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark weather this day also but made no rain: Paid John Hughes of Marrian's bill being iL.i9s. 6d– [this dash is written below the superscript 'L', in the place of the usual dot sw] & gave my Gr. Daughters who went to day to LLysdulas 8s. in their pockets 
6th.  The Wind W & by N. blowing moderate, some sun shine, but in generall it was cloudy & dark, but dry this day also: Pd. Mrs. Broadhead the 6d. she had given as earnest to a woman she hired for a Chamber maid: Paid Rhys bentir is. 6d. for a quarter of Mutton ·
