August 3d. The Wind W. in the morning blowing fresh & drying well, Sun Shiny & fair, came to S. W in ye Evening was cloudy & overcast with some little rain about 7,& more in the night. |
4th. The Wind W. & by S. blowing fresh & drying well & generally Sun Shiny till 4 in the Evening when it grew cloudy & dark, finished to day getting my hay into big Cocks: Pd. Davies the Excise Officer i5 shillings being my composition Money for Malt: Paid John Jones the Carpanter 27 shillings, for 2i foot of Oak Timber & 6 food of Ash; pd. 2d. for fish. |
5th. The Wind W. & by S. blowing fresh, sun Shiny fair and dry, and continued so all this day: To Day I begun to carry in my hay into stacks: pd. 1d. for a piece of brass, & gave 1s. to ye raffle of Catherine Rowland of Pyllcrach. |
6th. The Wind S. blowing high and raining excessive hard this morning about 4 a clock, moaky weather with frequent showers of mizling rain all the rest of the day, besides a very heavy shower about noon: The Priest finished his Hell-fire Sermon begun the 9th. of last month. |
7th. The Wind S. blowing fresh with some Sun Shine, and drying well all day: My people are makeing hay Stacks this day also. |
8th. The Wind S. blowing fresh and raining very hard this morning about 4, and all the rest of the day was moist, moaky weather attended with frequent showers of rain: Pd. 1s. 6d. for 6 young Ducks . |
