October 22d.  The Wind N.W. in the Morning, it came to N.E. before night, cold, dark and cloudy all day, and blowing fresh, frequent showers of cold sleet & hail, which covered the Earth a little before night; with thunder& lightning very often in the morning, as it did last night .The Markett at LLanerchmedd much the same as last week .
23d. ❍7 [this is written in the margin immediately below '23d.' sw]  The Wind N.W. & by N. blowing a high freezing wind long before day, & all the Morning, accompanyed with cold show= =ers of hail that covered the Earth by 8 in the morning, about noon the wind blew a rank storm which continued all yeEvening 
24th.  The Wind E. with a mizling rain in the morning, cleared up about 9 & continued dry and clear the rest of the day, was out to day a coursing, but had very little sport, pd. 6d. for Ale at Cemaes
25th.  The Wind N.W.  it rained sometime before day, for the fields were very wett, the day proved dry in generall, but the Air cold & moist. a very full Fair to day at LLanfechell for Cattle, Horses, woolen & Linnen cloath, Shooes, &c . but very slow, & very little bought.
26th.  The Wind E. very calm, but dark & cloudy in the morning, the Evening very fair; The Parson preached a piece of a dull Sermon onProverbs Chap. 22d. vers.9th.
27th.  The Wind E. very calm, sun-shiny & fair in the morning, but a very great hoar frost, and having freezed hard last night besides – my people at the same work as last week, some plowing for, and Sowing Rye, others fallowing at Ferem .
28th.  The Wind N.E. very calm & warm, but very wett & dirty; and great land floods this morning, haveing rained hard all last night; the Evening wet & dripping.
29th.   The Wind E.N.E. very calm, but dark and cloudy weather, with a smoaking moist Air all day. The Markett to day at LLanerchmedd very high, Barley at 24s a pegget.
