August 28th.  The Wind S. W. blowing very fresh with some little rain in the Evening, but cloudy & dark weather all day·
29th. The Wind E. blowing very moderate yet cold, and raining hard in the morning till 7, the rest of the day was dry; Paid Marged ’chuw Morus is. [1/- sw] for a fore quarter of Mutton weighing 7L.2/1 & pd. Rhys Bentir 2s. for a hind quarter of veal weighing 17L.2/1 & 9d. for a quarter of Venison: This day I begun to reap.
30th.  The Wind N. E. blowing moderate, but cold, & generally cloudy and dark all day and made Some rain in the Evening , & rained I bel[ei sw]ve most part of the night.
3ist.  The Wind W. blowing moderate & not cold, cloudy & dark weather but continued dry all day: but rained exceeding hard in ye night
September ist.  The Wind N.W blowing high, cold & stormy, & attended with a great deal of rain for the most part of the day ·
2d.  The Wind N. blowing very high & stormy , yet continued dry all this day. 
3d.  The Wind S.W. blowing fresh, cloudy & dark for most part of the day & cold withal , and rained hard about 5 in the Evening.
4th.  The Wind W. S. W. blowing fresh with some rain this day also but was generally Sun Shiny : pd. Thomas Parry the Sadler- 4s. 6d.. for 6 days work in mending my Horse –Team furniture
5th.  The Wind S.  & from thence to S.E. calm,cloudy & dark, & raining almost all day more or less: Pd. Marged ’chuw Morus 2s.for a side of Mutton & i0d2/1 for a hind quarter of Ram,& pd. Rhys bentir 8d. for a Side of Kid.
6th.   8● [this is written vertically in the margin below '6th.' sw] The Wind S. E. blowing moderate, but Sun shiny , fair &warm for the most part of this day;and a great blessing it is to have some dry days to ripen the Corn that is standing, &to wither & dry the Corn that has been cut , which has as much weeds in it & is as dirty & poor as the Corn was last year.
