July 4th.  The Wind E. calm & warm, and generally Sun shiny and clear sky all this day.
5th.  The Wind E. blowing very moderate, Sun shiny, clear, hot and sultry all this day : Out of three full hives I had last spring alive & as I thought strong & healthy; onely one survived which swarm'd to day: The Season in every thing this year has been so remarkably backward that the Rose trees are but now beginning to blow; The Wallnut Trees are not yet fully in leaf, & the Mulbery T[rees sw] but very lately: As for Apples, Pears, Plumbs or Cher[ries sw]s there is hardly one.
5th.  The Wind E. calm and cloudy in the morning, Sunshiny hot& Sultry from i0 till night. Pd. is. id. for Carrying Sugar from Chester.
6th.  The Wind E.N. E. blowing moderate, Sun shiny hot & Sultry all this day till near night it grew overcast, yet made no rain.
7th.  The Wind N.N.E. in the morning & blowing pretty fresh, yet hot & Sultry; the Wind came to S. S.W. in the Evening, grew cloudy and overcast and made a good deal of small rain from 7 till very far in the night.
8th.  The Wind N. blowing fresh & cold nipping weather, yet Sun shiny all day.
9th.  The Wind N. W. blowing moderate, Sun shiny fair &warm till 4 in the Evening it grew overcast &brought down a small de[w sw]y rain all the rest of the day: Paid Wm. Sion Elis 20s. being the remain- der of his last winter's wages, & Pd. Rhŷs Bentir 3s. 9d. for Butcher's meat bought of him this day & this day Senight.
i0th.  The Wind W. & by N. blowing moderate, some intervals of cloudy weather, but generally it was sunshiny, and warm & dry all day went to day to Amlough to Join Mr. Lewis to hear an Information laid by Richard Parkins Officer of Excise against Robert Parry for assaulting, beating & obstructing him in the execution of his Duty, for which we fined Parry in 20s. Pd. there for meat & drink is. [1/- sw]
iith.   ❍  11 [this is written vertically in the margin under 'iith.' sw] The Wind S. calm & warm, but cloudy & overcast all this day, but made no rain: The Priest finished the Sermon he had begun this day fortnight gave a lad 6d. that brought me half a Salmon from LLysdulas .
