December 14th.  The Wind S. W. blowing fresh and raining– hard almost all day: Pd. 1s. for Oysters .
15th.  The Wind W. & by S. blowing fresh and cold, but dry almost all this day: Paid John William Sion Owen the Mariner 4 pound 5 shilling & 6 pence for 7 Tons of Mostyn Coal at 6s. 6d. a Ton, & 4s. 6d.Sea Carriage and 8s. 6d. Port Charges, haveing before paid 15s. Duty & 2s. 6d. to the _ Officer for dispatch .
16th.  The Wind N. blowing fresh and very cold, with some Sun shine, but drying well all this day: My people all this week are plowing, & since Tuesday they are plowing the fresh Sand ground at Bodelwyn .paid – Owen ab Huw Pritchard David the Taylor 6s. for working,which I believe is the last money he shall receive of me .
17th.  The Wind came about 2 in the morning to S.W.and rained hard for a long time, all the day was cloudy and dark, but made no more rain,but the Air was very heavy and moist all day. Pd. Sion ifan the 2d.plowman 15s. 6d. being the remainder of his Sumer's [there is a line over the 'me' sw] wages.
18th.  The Wind S.W. blowing fresh or rather high, and raining extream hard from 4 in the morning till past 7, made little rain the rest of ye day_ but rained most part of this night: Delivered this day to Mr. Wm. Broadhead three hundred and Sixty Seaven pounds ten shillings to discharge the debt I owed the late Mr. Lewis Davies Parson of LLandyfrydog & secured to him by a Mortgage executed Decr. iith. i74i (which see in Vol : ist. of the Diari[y sw]s : Diarys & Page 467. )the Principal was 350 pound & 17 pound ten shillings for one year’s Interest makes 367 L. i0s.
19th.  The Wind S. W. blowing moderate, was dry all this day, & was - generally Sun shiny and fair: gave to a poor Man’s raffle is. [1/- sw] & paid Richard Roberts 6d. for mending the Oven & stove.
20th   ❍12 [this is written vertically in the margin below '20th' sw]  The Wind S. W. and blowing moderate, and raining hard about 5 in the morning, with some showers after day light; all ye Morning was cloudy and dark, but the Evening was generally Sun Shiny & fair. except a small shower of Sleet about 3 in the Evening.
2ist.  The Wind S. W. blowing moderate, yet cold & chilly all day,but contin- – ued dry all day.
22d.  The Wind N. W. blowing moderate, generally Sun shiny, fair & dry- all day, but the Air cold & chilly -pd. Rhys Bentir for meat bought against the Holy days 1L. 1s. 6d.&pd. ye Priest for small Tythes & the Sermon 12s. 4d. [& sw] 20s. that my Mother owed him . but these Sums [there is a line over the 'm' sw] are part of the gross Sum [there is a cupped line over the 'm' sw] pd.by me for the Coal, of which the Priest had 2 tons (except 18d.
